WHAT ARE PULSES?

Pulses are small grains that are inside pods. As an example of pulses we have beans, lentils, peas, broad beans, chickpea, among others. The consumption of these help treat obesity and prevent and control chronic diseases such as diabetes, hard heart diseases and cancer, as well.  As we know, human intervention has caused soil degradation. These are important to human sustainability.

To fertilize the land, farmers may use broad beans. Farmers sow the plant and then take good care of the soil which is fertilized in order to grow other pulses.
